Le miroir d’eau place de la Bourse

Year of completion: 2006
Scope: Water feature design, from concept to construction documents, on-site supervision and commissioning

Le miroir d’eau is a part of the layout developed by Michel Corajoud and Pierre Gangnet for the revitalization of Bordeaux urban waterfront. Inspired by the natural phenomenon of floodwater that habitually seeps into Saint Mark’s square in Venice, the water feature mimics nature, covering the square with a thin layer of water. It is an invitation to kick-off your shoes and literally “walk on the water.”
