Place de Jaude is in the center of Clermont Ferrand, a 3.5 hectare square that is charged with history and symbols. Water is a key component in the spatial composition of the square, developed by Alain Marguerit. Its staging is strongly inspired by the geology of the region; the main fountain mimics volcanic sequences with dramatic lighting.
