Graduated from the EMB, Jean Max joined Anger & Heymann’s practice in 1970. In 1975 he discovered the opportunity to collaborate with the famous French fountain designer Bernard Quiry and discover water feature engineering. In 1980, he opened his own studio in Paris, specializing in fountain design and engineering.
In 1982, Adrien Fainsilbert, architect of the Sciences City at la Vilette in Paris, commissioned him to study all the water feature elements of the project. Between 1980s and 1990s he was responsible for most of the City of Paris large water feature projects: Citroen park, Bercy park, Montparnasse, etc.
His work spread to a national level, and he designed hundreds of fountains all over France. At the same time he has been commissioned his firsts international projects in Portugal, and the UK.
Since 2008, Jean Max Llorca is considered as one of the main water feature specialist worldwide.

Graduated in Business & Administration and Design. Stephane began to work at JML in 1996, in the Paris’s studio. He has participated in important projects in France such as the Carrefour Pleyel in St. Denis, le Nombre d’or in Montpellier or le Miroir d’eau in Bordeaux. In 2001, he took charge of developing JML International activity, and opened the JML studio in Barcelona, Spain. Based in Barcelona, he has been working on major water feature projects such as the new CaixaForum Museum in Madrid with Herzog & de Meuron Architects, the new Fair of Barcelona with Toyo Ito Architects, and the international Expo 2008 in Zaragoza. Stephane is currently leading various International projects such as the Dambovita Center in Bucharest, Romania, and the Four Season Hotel in Hanghzou, China.

He joined the team in 2008 . He worked for seven years in Montreal, QC (Canada) in a Landscape Design Studio, and has acquired a good professional practice experience.

Tania acquired experience in water engineering in TECNICA, a water treatment engineering firm based in Rome.
She is involved in the design process and construction management.

He joined the team in 2009 Nic worked within the facilities management team, draughting site schematics and space plans At ‘BP / Johnson controls’ and at ‘Colt’ within the R&D department developing new products for the smoke safety market.

Graduated in Architecture (Barcelona and Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago) She joined the team in 2011.
She has experience in urban design and public space and has worked in projects for Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning. She is currently involved in the design process and construction management on several international projects and is leading all Chinese projects.

Graduated in Architecture (Lima), Mela joined the JML team in 2011. She has been working as an architect since 2000 in Lima, New Jersey, Tenerife and Barcelona, developing national and international projects. She is involved in the design process and construction management.

Graduated from Nakin Polytechnic school where he obtained a diploma in architecture, Hong Shu then went on to study at l’Ecole d’architecture Paris La Villette where he gained his Master Degree in architecture. He has collaborated with Adrien Fainsilber for 10 years and has excelled at managing projects from start to finish.
